You have reason to hate it Marcia. If ever there was a bushfire, the toxic chemicals would surround you all. I see many people here with them too.

The thing is, the companies that sell it, use every green washing tactic they can ... it' s different now ... we use safe 'whatevers' ...all bull dust as you and I know.

I can see why Ramzi likes it. It's easy care, but the mini beasts that live beneath our feet are struggling to survive. (I'm a bit passionate about this Marcia so jut tell me to disappear).

You know, when people use toxic sprays to keep their grasses weed free, these microscopic mini beast spring into action and build structures to protect and support us!!!

If I were in your shoes I'd be ripping it up, planting natives and wildflowers, making the garden work for you. The first time you see butterflies, monarchs especially in your garden, you'll know your doing your bit for the environment.

I've spent weeks trying to rip up that thick black plastic to return the garden to native (also to hopefully sell soon) . I'm a bit exhausted, but determined to give it my best shot.

Four of my neighbours arrived a few weeks ago and did lots of heavy lifting for me. I can't even begin to tell you what that meant to me.

Hope I haven't been too intrusive Marcia. I had a feeling you wouldn't have chosen a plastic lawn, especially having had a dad who created such magic in his garden ... bit like my dad to be honest!

Hope we're still friends. 💖💖💖
