You certainly are! You have been through more than you fair share of hells, and still you come up smiling.

My mother was much the same. At 18 months she went into hospital with Scarlet Fever, and she and every child in the ward left as victims of polio.

Of course she determined never to be a victim, and like you, proved herself in every way. I'm not sure which came first, her talents, or her determination. There was nothing she couldn't learn.

Of course that proved difficult for Dad because he wasn't naturally 'skilled'. He was a poet, philosopher, environmentalist, gardener, but not so handy as a handyman (or, you could say, Mum could always do it better!).

Always a pleasure to read, Liberty.
