Yes I often feel that way, Rodrigo. Like you I have writers whose work I can't wait to read, and I always leave an encouraging comment.

On the other hand I would have thought, given the incredible engagement you enjoy, that you might have felt more validated than you clearly do.

But to be honest I'm not sure how all this works effectively.

I've started writing names of people I haven't caught up with in a while, but it all takes a lot of time.

See the only reason I read and am responding to you, is you left a comment on another post and I thought, Rodrigo..haven't talked to him in a while...and here I am.

As for writer engagement, I have no idea how that works so well for some, and not so for others.

If I enjoyed your engagement I doubt I'd feel lonely!
