Yes Carole, there was a collective whoop of joy here in Oz, because the reality was that we didn't expect a happy outcome. How this has affected this little girl we can only wonder. She will need a lot of protection, but her poor parent, how on earth do you recover from that>

I recall when Azaria Chamberlain disappeared. The judgement from the public was bitter and over the top. That had a huge effect on the famiy. The parents split up eventually.

As for me, I don't know that I could ever let my child out of sight again. Still, good counselling is available these days,
