When you leave a parents and you know that will be the last time you see them, it is damned hard. When I left my mum, I kissed her and assured her I'd be back. We both knew it would not happen.

When I got to the end of the street, I cried like there was no tomorrow, and so, when I got home I wrote her a letter just telling her how much I loved and appreciated all she had done for us over the years. She loved it, and shared it with her friends. It's life. Still your life belongs in your home now, with your partner. It's the right thing to do.
