When my daughter was quite young I'd made a curry for dinner - for my husband and me.

She told me it smelled so nice, and could she have some.

I explained that I'd used chillis which were a but hot, but promised I'd make her the same curry the next night, sans chilli, which I did.

From then on she ate whatever we ate.

She never was a fussy eater, but I viewed this as a win for me.
