When I was a student, I worked at a holiday camp in England ( am Scottish born).

Our tips were often four times as much as our paltry earnings. With out them we'd never have lasted.

Still I look back and realize how used the public was.

For that reason alone I was loathe to use the tipping system.

I succumbed in recent times because I felt that this was a holiday camp situation yet again, played out by Medium. To date nobody has tipped me unlike those lovely holiday campers all those years ago. They were generous to a fault, yet probably couldn't afford it. .
