When A Builder With Heart Steps Up To Meet An Urgent Social Housing Crisis, Magic Happens…
Imagine tiny houses within a microgrid. Prepare to be jealous…
Cooroy…bet most of you will never have heard of it. It’s a rural place in the Queensland hinterland, great for families, and only a 35 minute drive to beautiful Noosa Beach.
Blocks are large and sprawling, just perfect for young families.
What’s not to love?
But what about price?
Though it’s not in any way close to the most expensive place to live, it’s still way out of reach for a homeless person…or family, many of whom are homeless through no fault of their own.
Many are the victims of their long-term rental property being sold from under them, and even with a very reasonable time-frame given to find another property, most found that not only were the alternative homes much more expensive, but also, that so many people were competing for the same property.
And so the situation was exacerbated.
It’s true that most of us care about the homeless, but sadly, most of us don’t have the means, or the ability to turn the situation around.
