What a moving yet beautiful story you have written, Luna.
I thought my childhood was pretty poor, but by comparison it was not. My eldest sister tells me that because Dad had his own little business in the village, we were better off than most, and maybe she was right.
What I loved about your story was it was a depiction of how things really well for you, and though you wanted ten towels for every member of your family, that would fix everything in the eyes of Dr. Berg.
Through a child's intelligent eyes we see so much, sadness, courage, and in all, pride.
Well done, Luna. You have a gift.
