What a lovely story, James. I agree with you completely. We all need a special person in our lives. Love manifests itself in so many ways, the touch of a hand, a morning hug, a sharing of food. Sure we have more intimate relationships when we are young, Nature's way of ensuring there are generations to come. Deep relationships, however, can come in later life when the world's pace has become too fast, and we are content to trip down Memory Lane with someone who understands.
