We got pocket money for helping Dad deliver things in the village. Needless to say it was all spent on sugar!!! It's what kids do.

I wrote a long time about how to teach children to value and manage money. I'll see if I can find it. This worked because the girls now in early teens have a wonderful appreciation, not just of money, but of how the world works,including the poor.
