Two things Dana. Processed food is now science, a science designed to make people want more of something, with the right zing, the right addiction, the right feel on the tongue.

I could go on, but you get my drift.

Secondly, the world is fat. I live in Australia, and the amount of obese, young, completely out of shape people, is staggering.

My sister tells me Scottish people are also fat. I don't recall fat people when I was growing up there.

And 3rd world countries are affected. A few years go we spent some time in Malaysia where people tend to be naturally slim. I saw many fat people.

Same in the Philippines.

Wherever you see fast food giants, you see obesity.

We need to teach our children to cook, to do so from scratch, to avoid crappy food altogether, and to see how much better they feel when they eat nourishing food.

Until we outright reject these ne'er do wells,

we can expect the same old same old.

Thank you for a great article.
