Too sad, Elizabeth. What a way to mark an anniversary.

My daughter was engaged, all the wedding organised, things paid for, and she called one night to see if she could come for dinner…just me, she added.

I thought nothing of it, and then, in the middle of dinner she broke down. She was more concerned about the money we had forked out. We, on the other hand, were relieved.

Big hugs. I think it’s always hard on mothers. :)
