To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.’ Audrey Hepburn

My neighbor Ivan is a stalwart, (my opposite, when I think about it). In the middle of winter he’s out in his garden rain, hail, or shine, always busy, always doing things, and always reaping the rewards for his hard work.

He’s also generous and happy to share the bounty of his efforts.

He and his wife are from Argentina and their back garden is awash with all manner of vegetables, plus herbs, and fruit trees, all planted to make the most of the changing seasons, and to support their culinary preferences.
