Those were the days. People were resilient, and content. They made things last. If they had three daughters, for instance, you can bet your life that one dress made, served three sisters, at different times, of course!

Those clothes wee then handed down to cousins.

To some their lifestyle may appear bleak, but theirs was a life of inclusion. People looked out for one another. They cared. They shared. They laughed and they cried together. No man was an island. Now there are islands everywhere.
