This reminds me of a time when possums invaded our attic. We'd just had some renovations done and the tiler left one tile off the roof.
So, for as long as it took to get them out, we were woken up at 5am as these nocturnal creatures arrived home to party.
The only way for us to get rid of them was to wait until the left at night, after which my husband, with me as the torch bearer, scaled a ladder and replaced the tile on the roof.
Oh my goodness, you should have heard them screeching in the morning when they couldn't gain entry.
They hung around for several weeks before they gave up and left to find more rent-free accommodation.
