This reminds me of a time when a new principal came on board at my last school.

She was hell-bent on change. Not a minute to waste.

Trouble was the previous principal had worked tirelessly, with staff on board to create an enviable model of governance. The students were happy and valued. Much the same could be said of the staff.

But the new principal knew! She had hardly had time to draw breath when she announced immediate changes and those pending.

This hugely-impacted staff moral, and students, eventually.

She left within the year.

Had she stood back and observed, had she paused, things would have been so different.
