There's absolutely no doubt that marriage is hard work, May. The bliss one feels before marriage, is perhaps more a timely need than the actual perfection we feel we have found, and post marriage, when children come along, when money is tight, when one is sleep-deprived and not so bright and bushy-tailed, is the litmus test of whether a marriage can succeed.
