The thing about all the women you have mentioned is that they daily achieved greatness in small but significant was.

Your female family members in the past worked hard just to keep things together, often with very little money to do so.

But women today work harder in very different ways and yet at the top of the ladder of government and industry, in academic roles, the faces remain stubbornly male.

You only have to look at heads of state throughout the world to see that women are miserably represented, yet they are the problem-solvers, the corner cutters, the behind the scenes making-ends-meet (ers), the ones who consider the significant minutia of things.

If you dare look back through history it's not that hard to see that the laws that persist in the world today were made by men, work for men, and largely

don't suit women.

For those women who are successful,, the gender pay gap remains questionable.

A lot has been achieved, but we can still do better.
