The difference between you and most people, Christine, is they just don't know. Most of us live our lives in denial of the inevitable. From the day we are born we are on the trajectory, but it's way out there, somewhere, and we will think about it some day.

I write just the other day of a past student of mine who graduated as an engineer one day, and the next day ran under a truck and was incinerated. That surely wasn't in his plan.
