Thanks Pam. I don't know any DS person who is not lovable. A friend of mine, also a teacher, with six children of her own, adopted Peter, as his mother couldn't deal with his DS diagnosis. Peter was an absolute delight, and so full of fun. His sister, only a few years ago, a heart surgeon, got sick (MND) and died just a few years after being diagnosis. There was nobody more stalwart as Peter as he accompanied her coffin out of the church. Have you read 'The Clowns of God' by Morris West?
