Thanks Mitchell. such a shame about the racist problems you've had. I have taught many children from so many different cultural backgrounds, and I can't think of any who have been badly-treated. Having said that, I have to assure you that this 'culture' was a very big part of our school ethics. we embraced 'difference' and that soon got away from any possible racial issues.

Don't be afraid to respond positively to family behaviors. Responding positively can be as quiet as a mouse, by the way.

Choosing to write about the issues is a very positive approach.
