Thanks David. I'm going to bookmark this as there are some exercises I am not currently doing.
Just want to share some of my own experiences. I was a distance runner for a number of years. I loved it. But then,my knees began to hurt badly and I was forced to give up running. I truly believed I would be up for knee reconstruction.
Now that happened to be at a time when my daughter was having health issues, and I was on the holy grail to help her. We cut out all processed food, and gradually her health improved. A few weeks into this I noticed my knees no longer hurt and I was able to return to running. That pain has never returned, and we have maintained a clean diet, not that it was ever really unhealthy, but it could have been better,
Interestingly, my running friends here in Canberra, a few, have succumbed to knee surgery. NONE has returned to running. None is interested in getting off the beer, or hamburgers, and continue to have pain.
We have choices, especially aout how we age. Great article. Thank you.
