Thank you Katie. I felt more pain in writing this than I THINK I did at the time, though my sister (the nurse) suggests otherwise. It’s easy to be wise when you have a lifetime of experience on your shoulders.
Rosary in the garden brings back memories. Should write about it, but what a great thing to do, and especially having young women join you. That part of community is what I miss most.
You garden is your church. It may not be weather proof, but it does afford you the sanctuary one needs for prayer.
I pray in gratitude, but I’m not sure (in fact I am definitely unsure) about formal religion.
When my dad’s business was burned to the ground, someone who had contributed to church for his whole life, including donating to the local convent, nobody helped him out. He had five children at the time and no income. I never forgot that even though I was quite little at the time.
So a few words from you, Katie and I’m thinking about two more things to write about. Thank you, :)
