Thank you John. That is very kind of you. For the most part the girls took some cues from me and ran with them as they saw fit, conferring of course with the after school staff.

Interesting that you talk about our personal disabilities being hidden. I absolutely agree with that. We all have things we don't do well.

I was reading a writer today who has what we traditionally refer to as disabilities, and she chooses to call them diffabilities, in that she has very different abilities. I really love that.

If I compare my husband to me, we are so different.

He has a highly-scientific mind, a well-developed sense of humour, was a gifted sports person, and plays an excellent guitar.

But he can't cook. I call him my sous chef...he chops, he stirs, he blends but his coordination in cooking a meal is non-existent.

I won't go into detail about me, but I am sure you catch my drift.

We are all, each and every one of us, both able and disabled. And thank goodness for that.
