Thank you Annemarie. i totally agree with you. Quality food is everything, I wrote an article about a colleague of mine. She had MS, her eldest daughter had only half a functioning kidney, her two younger daughters were forever sick, and her husband was overweight and in hospital with a life-threatening illness. She was beside herself with worry about how to pay for the ever-increasing costs of medication.

Over time I managed to throw in a few things about diet. She had no idea that diet impacted illness. Anyway, I managed to convince her to try a clean-eating approach. The rest of the story is about their amazing turnaround in health. The mother is on no medication, and lost huge amounts of weight, and best of all, her eldest daughter has one fully-functioning kidney, and the other is healing. She. at 23, was looking at dialysis.

The friend I wrote about is beside herself with excitement. She walks (mountain walking), with her husband, and just looks fabulous. One thing she did say is that she could not risk artificial sweeteners. Such was her addiction to carbs.

Thanks for your perspective Annemarie. Great to touch base with you again.
