Sports shoes and socks I have had to buy in recent times...oh and undies. A used version of any of these I couldn't consider.

However, it's been quite a few years since I bought new clothes.

At my local opp shop, they set aside my size of clothes, just for me, so they say, as not many people buy the small sizes.

I have bought some amazing outfits for not a lot of money, and I donate back on a regular basis.

The same goes for books. We buy at least two a week for around $5.00 and take them back when read,. It's the circular economy in action.

For a long time I was averse to this, about buying and wearing the clothes of others, until I experienced two bushfires, and one serious flood.

I began to think of my actions and how they were impacting the planet..and my thoughts turned to, if not me, then who?

Collectively we are either the cause of, or the solution to the ills of the world.

You know I take everything home and wash them (except for the books 🤣) and I never think about where they have come from.

Lots of my friends now follow suit.
