So many forms of smart...but it's taken a while for the powers that be, to determine this.
In Scotland, where I was schooled, the only IQ tests that were ever done were in the last year of primary school.
Then, according to your deemed intellect, you were streamed into classes, A where you studied Latin and French, B and C, only French, D where you at least had a home classroom, and E, where the teacher and students wandered the school looking for a vacant classroom. The E students knew they were duds! No real estate means you are a dud.
What parent would put up with that these days?
I have taught for many years and am still trying to determine how yo an really appraise another person's intellect.
And THAT leads me to write a story today. Thanks Jean. :)
