Same here, James. We were traveling recently, and stopped half-way for the night, in a place we swore we'd never stop in again, but given it was half way, we did. we'd eaten at the one and only restaurant the last time, and that was so bad, The pub would be a better option. We scanned the menu...nothing much that either of us wanted, except my husband thought he could eat lambs' fry and bacon. Out came a bowl to feed a family, and the meat swimming in some kind of dark, thick gravy. Neither of us ate, so essentially we paid some $70 for two ice-cold beers. I guess we left feeling grateful that they knew how to serve a beer. I had visions of packets of gravy lining the shelves of the kitchen...the obligatory gravy....
Hope you Christmas was fun with your girls. :)
