Sally I grew up in a very small village in Scotland where you were either Catholic, Protestant, or non-religious.

In a small village that can be catastrophic.

Catholics had their own schools, and everyone else went to the protestant one, unless they were wealthy. Nobody was!

I simply didn't know anyone who wasn't Catholic.

I have since, online, met people from our little village. We've all out grown the 'rules'.

Who dreams these rules and ideas up? I am at a loss.
