Rui it's difficult to appreciate any world commitment to turning around the climate changes you speak of. This means that if we can't or won't do it collectively, we need to do it by example.

Even the smallest of changes can set an example for others.

We spent two years on Bougainville Island PG , nine years apart. The environment changes when we returned some nine years later, shocked us to the core.

Most of this we believed was due to the mine site in operation, which daily churned sludge into the Pacific Ocean.

We left after a year, but perhaps instead we should have rased awareness of all that was going on.

We have to be part of the action for change.
