Reminds me of a beautiful little girl I taught some years ago. She's now 22 and a lawyer, but one day in class she asked me if I had noticed her mum's hand. I assured her I had and that it still functioned and was just a very small part of her mother's body, and besides, it's what's inside , the person that you are, that counts.

I said to her, 'We have something in common. My mum had polio when she was a baby and so now one of her legs is affected.'

We're still friends today, with a bond that says ,' All boats are beautiful'.

Just love the analogy by the way!
