We love this part of the world and when travelling there on our last journey, to try to buy a new home, Covid struck, borders were closing, and we still hadn't settled on a house to buy.

Now it was too late.

Essentially we were homeless, as were many people doing what we were.

We had two days to decide what to do.

Caravan parks were closed.

Hotels were closed.

And soon borders would be closed.

As we were considering our options, a friend called to see if we'd like her church house in the country, a short drive from Canberra.

The journey home was magical, with hardly a vehicle on the road. I hoped it would stay that way forever. As if!
