Patricia, you really do look wonderful. Congratulations on two things, one is, reaching 85, and looking to well, the other, of surviving sepsis.

One of my friends lost a daughter-in-law to sepsis, despite her doctor brother sending two of his best doctors to care for her.

Another to survive sepsis, was a girl who went into hospital to have her wisdom teeth removed and contracted it.

She was the student in primary school who used to scoff at my talking to the class about eating well.

"Look at me," she'd say. "I just eat junk and I am skinny."

So that one-day hospital visit stretched out to three weeks.

Luckily she didn't lose any body parts.
