When the tub was full, I took it to the other side of the back room and threw the items in a large garbage compactor where they were compressed and eventually trucked to a landfill. On some days I threw hundreds of pounds of expired food products into the compressor. Fruit, vegetables, steak, you name it. Each tub contained hundreds of dollars worth of expired food items.
