One thing you need to do, Elizabeth, is buy heirlooms. They will thrive in your garden. Don't buy from the local garden shop. They are sterile.

You could try doing things in stages, just sectioning off a little at a time.

There is an organic carpet you can lay down to remove weeds. Then in spring you can take it up, reuse, and get on with the spot you want to work on.
