One principal in Canberra decided that teachers had to wear the said hose in the height of summer. A staff riot ensued. I'm trying to think when I last wore either stocking or high-heels.

My dress du jour (autumn and cold) is two layers of wool, one oversized,over leggings, with a stylish scarf.

I just washed my husband's Arran seater in the washing machine, and waited, biting my fingernails, to see if it had survived. I have fixed that sweater a million times, and it still looks fabulous., even though it's 27 years old. He told me if it had shrunk, I was to take the first flight to Ireland. I'm up for that one! Sadly, it looked good as new, so flght is not on.
