One of my very favourite folk songs.

…rd years ago incorporating them into her songs. One that stands out is called Farwell to Tarwathie. In it, a man bids goodbye to his sweetheart who he won’t see for a long time. He’s going off to Greenland in search of the whale. The mournful songs of humpback whales resound throughout the piece.
