On this one. My friend who has had rheumatoid arthritis since she was around twenty had a flair up recently and some new injections were mooted.

These cost $20 000 PA.

Through the PBS she now gets them for $87. BUT the drug company still gets paid the shortfall.

Win win!

As for lifestyle, she could have alleviated her pain, I believe, through elimination of sugars, something she loves. At no time was that put to her.

And yet this is well-known.

If, for instance, one follows a ketogenic diet, inflammation very quickly disappears.

I have had friends, fellow runners who line up for knee and hip replacements, and when I suggest trying keto the answer almost never varies...ah but mine's bone on bone.

You know, that's how my knees felt, but I chose to research and ultimately to eliminate rubbish food, and overnight, 3 weeks really, all inflammation went.

And stretching, especially for runners, is magic.

I do hold drug companies culpable in so many cases.

Type two diabetes runs in my husband's family. He was diagnosed twenty years ago, and I was alarmed by some of the care suggestions.

Suffice it to say, he follows a keto diet, and takes half a pill daily. I think he's a little scared to omit that small amount. He's probably the thinnest diabetic in history!

I do believe ALL pharma companies should be not for profit.
