On That Fateful Day My Friend Lost Three Of Her Children

The inspiration for this story came from Riley McLynn whose son, at the wise old age of eight, stopped Disney-World, literally.

Australia’s Dreamworld is a place we visited as a family, only once, and only because everybody else’s mother took their children there.

How could we not go?

We were on holiday in Queensland and had visited Wet’n’Wild, where we happily engaged in an energetic amount of swimming challenges, and Sea World, a great place for children to learn about the ocean.

And much as each was loved, our daughter HAD to go to Dreamworld…and we lived happily ever after.

I wish!

I had my doubts even then about a few of the activities, but I have never been a daredevil. She used to be.

Thankfully she is now grown up, and much more level-headed, and life goes on.

A few years later, I learned of a dreadful accident there. It was early evening and I was watching the news, and simultaneously…
