Oh Jan, I wish I could clap you forever. I saw all of this subtly played out in schools, and people turned a blind eye to what was going on.

I saw teachers elevate students, give them preferential treatment if they met the parameters of their ideas of perfection.

And I saw the other side of that.

I look at the models we see today. Nature had no design on these shapes, just as nature had no design on the morbidly-obese we see around us, those who are addicted to the shameful offerings of the food industry.

I tossed my scales out years ago. I have an idea of what I weigh, but it's just an idea compared to others.

Such a wonderful story of pain, and growth, and where you have reached a stage in life where you are happy in your own skin.
