Oh gosh, Janet, I think I was meant to edit this story! At that age, I too would have said no, but today I would LOVE to be in the role. Life experiences change us in ways unimaginable. I know I would be a much better teacher of needy children today. I would love them as my own. I would protect them, and be there for them, yes even in those unpaid hours.
