Natalie the chemical thing is alive and well here too. We even have children's play fields made of plastic! Don't even get me started on that one.
We've been through a few gardens over the years, were always sparing of chemicals, but now none at all. I walked into a garden shop and asked for a particular product and she took me to an area which was full of chemicals.
She nodded in sympathy, saying, "I have to sell the stuff".
Our garden is old, and neglected, with thick black plastic all over the place.I rip it out and then wonder what I'm supposed to do with it.
I'm trying, but everything is so hard, but getting rid for the lawn and planting wildflowers at least, is my plan for spring.
I have lots of cutting that I have tended through winter and hey too will go in.
I have had a few people talk about the rules regarding what they can and can't plant. Maybe we all need to garner all our knowledge and present the evidence to the aficionados who make rules, not because they know, but because they can.
Cement...plastic lawns.......have they NO idea that they life beneath our feet is what keeps us alive??
Thanks for reading Natalie and for your support. :)
