My husband died three months ago, Malky, so believe me, I feel your pain.

I called for an ambulance one night, and 24 hours later he was gone, and though I was told how gravely ill he was, I felt sure he would make it, but he didn't. His was a ruptured bowel (causing sepsis) . He never regained consciousness.

Sorry to learn that your brother Colin died. My brother Frank dropped dead in his fifties. Again, I know and feel your pain.

I've cried a river of tears, but have enough left to cry for you too. :)
