My daughter was sick and I was sickened by the medical advice we were given. Also I needed to find a better way for my husband's type 2 diabetes protocol. I went searching and found the keto diet.
It had to be a one in, all in dietary decision. Changes were not for me in particular.
I just happened to notice that the knees that were waking me in the night, and reducing me to tears, (remember, I was a serious runner), no longer hurt.
I was so elated.
Up till then I was just like you. I couldn't even do a three-hour trip to the coast.
If I ever get slack, I get the hint of pain, not just in my knees, but lower back.
The other thing I do every single day, is stretch. Even if I am dog-tired, I do those darned stretches.
Have to also add my husband's sugar readings were soon normal and though he continued to take one pill , he never advanced to full-blown medication.
His doctor used to say, I don't know what you're doing, but whatever it is, keep doing it, but he never actually asked what he was doing.

My go-to for health generally is the diet doctors. This site was instigated by a Swedish doctor. Dr Andreas Einfeldt. So many doctors have joined forces with him as well as many others.
Hope this helps Carly.
Sorry - I don't think I quite answered your question on food.
Cleaning my pantry was my effort to find out if there were any triggers in my two patients. There's a lot of bad stuff in factory food. I never ever buy any of it.
Good luck Carly. 💜
