My cousin's awakening was when he was lying out on the pavement, totally drunk. His daughter and her friends passed by. One of them made a comment about him, to which his daughter said, 'Don't worry. He's my dad He's always drunk.'

His wife relayed the comment to him the next day. He was totally ashamed, and never drank again.
