We continued on until we got to an area of still water and overgrown trees. This is where ducks come to raise their young. It is also home to crayfish and other little water-loving friends. Years ago, I took my babies here to search for tadpoles, tiny frogs and turtles. On more than one occasion, we found duck eggs hidden among the lower branches.
