What Can We Learn From This Selfless Person?
Ways to live out your life, confident that you have served others well.
Whether we adhere to one religion or another, or to no religion at all, almost all of us will have heard of Mother Teresa.
If ever we read of people who have committed their lives to the needy and destitute, whose lives have transcended religious beliefs, who have given without any thought of reciprocation, Mother Teresa tends to be somewhere towards the top of the list.
And though much of her thinking was inspired by the creed of the Catholic Church, her pastoral care embraced all - the marginalized, the needy, and so many in Calcutta, her adopted home.
There she spent many years of her life.
There she founded the Missionaries of Charity, an organization that is still in action today.
People flocked to her.
All manner of people.
Especially those who were generally shunned by society - the lepers , those with AIDS, tuberculosis victims, and orphans, all found refuge and care within her schools, orphanages and hospitals.
No-one was turned away.
So much to learn from this amazing woman
