Made me laugh too. My English teacher was ruthless. He would read out a friend's writing, which to me sounded like she had spent the whole weekend trawling through a dictionary, emphasizing the overuse of words, till she was cringing under her desk.. That was cruelty. The sad thing was she was in love with him. :)
