Just by way of comforting you, Haimish, no teacher would be allowed to write that these days. And as a little further comfort, a friend and I used to produce an annual musical. There was one student who was totally tone deaf as far as we were concerned. Her parents told us that she wanted to play violin...gulp! You know what? Not only did her singing improve, but she made a impressive inroad on the violin.

As for playing the bagpipes, I would still love to give it a try. I taught classical recorder for many years, so I think I could manage...as a true Scot, I think I owe it to myself.
